This course provides students with an in-depth study of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology and pathology. The course focuses on clinical application and decision making in the healthcare environment. The course also prepares students to perform patient-care procedures including, but not limited to, respiratory care procedures, basic nursing, equipment maintenance and patient instruction. Students are taught clinical assistance skills and emergency care procedures that meet state requirements for licensure in radiography, basic life support, bandage application, physical assessment of patients, surgical asepsis, and basic diagnostic techniques. Students are also prepared to perform diagnostic tests, assist with physical examinations, EKG administration, basic pulmonary function, phlebotomy and catheterization. Students will also be trained to assist with minor surgeries including sterilization, basic radiologic procedures and allergy testing.

Students will take certification exam for Clinical Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA)
Payment Plans Available
Weekly payments are required. Balance must be paid in full before the end of the course. If balance is not paid in full, students will not be allowed to take NHA exam & attend externship.
