Medical Administrative Assistant Front Office
The course teaches students in the setting of a medical office in areas such as receptionist duties, telephone techniques, appointment scheduling, verbal/written communications and non-medical record management. The course also educates students regarding inventory, care of equipment and supplies, security, office maintenance, management responsibilities, placement, professional ethics and professionalism. The course introduces students to ICD-9 and CPT-4 classification coding systems used in physician offices, hospitals, and ambulatory care settings. The course also provides instruction in the use of software in the medical office including billing,
scheduling appointments and patient records.

Students will take certification exam for Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA)
Payment Plans Available
Weekly payments are required. Balance must be paid in full before the end of the course. If balance is not paid in full, students will not be allowed to take NHA exam.
Students are required to wear scrubs to class.

High School Diploma/GED
Must be able to pass background check

Monday – Friday 8:00am – 12:00pm, 1:00pm – 5:00pm, 5:00pm – 10:00pm (12 weeks)
Optional: $20 scrubs; $15 stethoscope; $15 blood pressure cuff
